Abstract
The article examines the necessity and efficiency of creating the poultry genotypes which are resulting from crossbreeding of different breeds in order to ensure enhanced performance in the new climatic conditions with higher tolerance to high temperatures. The analyzed crossbreeding schemes provide valuable information about the productivity and adjusting of hybrids to the extensive and semi-intensive breeding system in comparison with the breeding of purebred chickens. In this study, the main productive parameters were evaluated for intra- and interracial genotypes such as: egg production during 280 days, egg weight at 32 weeks, body weight, average daily gain, and specific consumption at 8 weeks. Thus, it was found that the Na/na interracial hybrids between ♀ Orpington × ♂ Gât golaş moldovenesc and ♀ Marans × ♂ Gât golaş moldovenesc demonstrate adaptability to climatic factors and higher productivity, manifesting a heterosis for the basic productive indicators from 1.42 % up to 22.4 %, in relation to intraracial genotypes.
