Sports life in interwar Chisinau

Abstract

Based on unpublished documents and iconographic sources found in the archives of the Republic of Moldova and Romania, by studying the interwar press, statistical data and period reports we shall try to reconstruct the aspects of the sports life of interwar Chisinau. According to the number of inhabitants, the capital of Bessarabia represented the second largest city of Greater Romania as a whole, the first being Bucharest.
