This CHB based inverter provides low harmonic distortion, reduced number of switches and suppression of switching losses. It also helps to improve the power factor and eliminate the Total Harmonics Distortion (THD). Proportional and Integral (PI) control is used for capacitor dc voltage regulation. A level shifted PWM (LSPWM) technique is used to analyse the performance of CHB Inverter. A CHB Inverter is considered for shunt compensation of 11kV distribution system. Abstract
