Abstract

In this work CdS nanocrystals (NCs) were synthesized by a simple UV-assisted method. Prepared NCs were characterized by means of XRD, FTIR, TEM, UV-vis, and PL analyses. Synthesized NCs was in hexagonal phase with an average size about 3.5 nm. The NCs bandgap shorten from 3.6 to 3.2 eV only by increasing the illumination from 3 to 12 min.
