This mechanism shows that how we can efficiently utilize SIP for UDP applications while MIP for TCP applications. Moreover a mechanism called Route Optimization is described in the paper that can help us overcome the problem of triangular routing and tunneling in MIP. It even points out the conditions where Route Optimization cannot work. The paper further gives a description of Predictive Address Resolution (PAR). Abstract

This review paper discusses a mechanism for inter domain mobility, which integrates the good aspects of two protocols i.e. of an application layer protocol namely Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and a network layer protocol called Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP).
