Abstract

The wood between norm and landscape plan: a look at the Tuscan regional ex-perience The paper analyses the different ways in which the multifunctionality of the wood is declined, according to the directions given by the Tuscan regional Landscape Plan, regarding both the reconnaissance of the territories covered by woods and forests, which are subject ex lege to the landscape constraints under the Code for Cultural goods and landscape, art. 142, sub-section 1, lett. g), their delimitation and cartographic representation, in connection with the legal definition of wood given by the national and regional law, both the prescriptions dealing with the wood management, which are aimed to ensure the conservation of the distinctive characters of these areas as well as of their evaluation.
