Abstract

Type material and other specimens of Tuber indicum (Ascomycotina, Pezizales), a species associated with Quercus incana in the north-west Himalaya, were studied using light and scanning electron microscopes. An emended circumscription of T. indicum is offered and Tuber himalayense sp. nov. is proposed. Both species are fully described and illustrated.
