Abstract

The peer review process is undergoing transformation; this raises a series of challenges, some of which are discussed by the authors of the articles of this issue. Is peer review really peer? Peer review is an activity not recognized for research evaluation. The choice of referees is by no means neutral; it must be contemplate the ethical aspects of the choice.
