Abstract
Nanosized MgO is an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyridine and imidazo[1,2-a]quinoline derivatives from multicomponent reaction of cyclic enaminoketones, malononitrile and aromatic aldehydes in EtOH at reflux condition.
