Werner Hoffmann (1907–1989) y su aporte a la historiografía jesuita-guaraní/chiquitana

Abstract

– As part of the generation of Europeans who became interested in their ancestors in America, Hoffmann belonged to the group of laypeople who initiated the investigation into the Jesuit missions of Paraguay. Solid and substantially formed he lived in difficult times, which were probably decisive for him, moving to Argentina. There he developed his multifaceted literary work of which we deal in particular its contribution to jesuit historiography about Fr. Anton Sepp, Martin Schmid and the christianization of the chiquitos.
