Polymorphisms of the AngII type 1 receptor (1166 A/C) and type 2 receptor (3123 C/A), and the BK-B2 receptor (-58T/C, exon 1) were analyzed and significant differences of genotypes and allelic frequencies in the AngII type 2 receptor C/A and BK-B2 receptor -58T/C were found between the essential hypertension and control subjects. Further, a significantly higher incidence of the C allele of the BK-B2 receptor was seen in AMI subjects with hypertension compared with those without hypertension.
