Abstract

Using non-axisymmetric electron beams in single-cavity self-exciting gyromultipliers with simple axisymmetric cavities allows the realization of an arbitrary multiplication factor. The most efficient is using a pencil-like electron beam displaced from the cavity axis as it allows, according to simulations, achieving a power of up to several watts in the THz frequency range when operating at the fourth cyclotron harmonic.
