Abstract
The paper presents a study concerning the influence of the capacitor value on the magnetic noise of the network and inverter-fed permanent split capacitor induction motor. To this aim, a numerical model of a 0.75 kW, 1500 rpm, permanent split-capacitor induction motor is developed under Flux2D Finite Element Software, taking into account the case of inverter supply by coupling Flux2D with Matlab/Simulink. Also, a mechanical analysis, using Ansys3D is performed on the studied motor. In order to verify the obtained results, noise measurements are performed on the network and inverter-fed single phase 0.75 kW, 1500 rpm, permanent split-capacitor induction motor fitted with different capacitor values (25 μF, 36 μF, 50 μF).
