Abstract
Do not save what is left after spending but spend what is left after saving. —Warren Buffet—Our spending habits are shaped by our upbringing, our values, ethics, our view of life, security, and one’s expectations of the future. However, the mode of payment also has an impact on the spending patterns of an individual. It is clear that the introduction of digital payments has affected spending patterns and subsequently savings habits. People generally aren’t getting better at saving through technology they are getting better at spending. The case examines and highlights the behavior of individuals who use cash and cashless digital payments in conjunction with their respective spending and saving patterns.
