On the basis of this, the upper application system is flexible to access the field devices through OPC Client, gathering and managing real-time information. Abstract

Based on the production system of high functional plastic production areas, the authors design an information acquisition system based on OLE for Process Control (OPC) technology. The system achieves the bottom information and uploads to the management layer. It uses a combination of Ethernet and serial communication to connect field equipment. Through hardware manufacturer provides the OPC Server interface to save real time information of the production equipment in real-time database of the industrial configuration software.
