Mixtures of grass (Panicum colaratum) and legume (Trifolium prantese) at seed rates of 50 : 50% produced (p < 0.001) higher herbage dry matter yield and was biologically and economically more competitive and viable than 25 : 75% and 75 : 25%, since it had the highest land equivalent ratio and the best monetary advantage (US$219) and net return (US$144).
