On the literary side, expression of Mexican romanticism and the reminiscences of this in the encyclopedic travelers are observed. As scientific discourse, it is clear the effort to study the territory, find exploitable materials and discuss deeper issues such as the age of the Earth or the antiquity of the man in America.
