The results showed that: (1) transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (2) work compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (3) work motivation has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance, (4) transformational leadership style has a negative and significant effect on work motivation, (5) work compensation has a positive and significant effect on work motivation and (6) work motivation does not have mediating role either transformational leadership style nor work compensation on the employees performance of Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali. Theoretically this research is providing the implications that work compensation is the main factor in improving employee performance. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership style and work compensation on employee’s performance with work motivation as mediation at Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali. The research method is descriptive causality using a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used is using non-probability sampling on employees in the guest contact department. 本研究以巴厘岛库塔海滩温德姆花园酒店为研究对象,以工作动机为中介,探讨变革型领导风格和工作薪酬对员工绩效的影响。研究方法是采用定量方法描述因果关系。使用的抽样技术是对客人联系部门的员工使用非概率抽样。数据收集技术通过向56名受访者分发问卷。使用的数据分析技术是使用SmartPLS 3.0 Software分析工具进行路径测试。结果表明:(1)变革型领导风格对员工绩效有正向显著影响,(2)工作报酬对员工绩效有正向显著影响,(3)工作动机对员工绩效有负向不显著影响,(4)变革型领导风格对员工绩效有负向显著影响。(5)工作报酬对工作动机有正向显著影响;(6)工作动机对变革型领导风格和工作报酬对员工绩效均无中介作用。从理论上讲,本研究提供了工作补偿是提高员工绩效的主要因素的含义。实际上,本研究对巴厘岛库塔海滩温德姆花园酒店的启示是,通过关注领导风格、工作薪酬和员工激励等方面,期望提高员工绩效。
