Abstract
Case
Two patients with giant cell tumor (GCT) Campanacci III of the distal radius were treated with en bloc resection and reconstruction with distal radius osteochondral allograft. Results of both procedures are presented, exposing complications of the first case related to radiocarpal subluxation and none in the second case. Both cases exhibit adequate functionality.
Conclusion
GCT Campanacci III in the distal radius represents a surgical challenge for limb preservation considering local invasion and high risk of recurrence. The en bloc resection and reconstruction with allograft technique, despite its variable functional results, achieves satisfactory results as it achieves low recurrence rates and allows limb preservation.
