Peculiarities of the Legal Status of Children with Disabilities in the Russian Federation

Abstract

The article discusses the basics of legal regulation of the legal status of children with disabilities. A systematic analysis of the main international legal acts regulating this sphere of relations is carried out. Based on the comments submitted by the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, proposals are formulated to improve the current national legislation of the Russian Federation, designed to increase the effectiveness of the mechanism for implementing guaranteed rights for children with disabilities.
