In ad -dition, a one- month interval could have been too long to prevent re- activation of skin autoimmunity. However, the combination of TCI and phototherapy as maintenance may be synergistic as TCI has shown a promising result. Further studies should be investigated with larger sample sizes at more regular intervals to ensure the effi cacy of maintenance phototherapy.
