Abstract
The value of language games has been embraced in language learning, yet it is crucial to evaluate these games and consider pedagogical mediations that may leverage their language learning potentials. Taking this need into consideration, this article reviews the once-a-day-only online word-guessing game, Wordle, by commenting on its design features and educational value. This review also offers some suggestions on maximizing the affordances of the game on learners’ and teachers’ sides.
