Abstract

Evoked potentials (EP, acoustic AEP, somatosensory SEP, visual VEP) and the magnetically evoked motor potentials (MEP) measure the conduction time in the respective conduction path. The importance of the EP lies in the detection of a demyelinating type of lesion or dysfunction and thus in the diagnosis and prognosis of multiple sclerosis.
