Asturias en la geografía neandertal y musteriense de la península ibérica

Abstract

Presentamos una sintesis a partir de los datos y resultados presentes en varios yacimientos de Asturias relativos, por un lado, a la problematica de la cronologia y los procesos tafonomicos y, por otro, a las novedades ofrecidas en diferentes aspectos de nuestros antepasados neandertales. Asimismo, se pone de manifiesto la necesidad de revisar varios yacimientos cantabricos de referencia en lo que afecta a los tipos de materias primas siliceas existentes en sus colecciones liticas, a la constatacion de discordancias erosivas / discontinuidades estratigraficas y a la evaluacion de las contaminaciones interestratigraficas. We present a synthesis from the existing data and results in some Asturian sites related, on one hand, with the chronology problems and taphonomical processes and, on the other hand, to the novelties in different matters around our Neanderthal ancestors. Additionally, we stand out the necessity to check thoroughly some important Cantabrian sites concerning the raw material types present in their lithic collections, to verify the reosive discordances / stratigraphic discontinuities and the evaluation of the interstratigraphic contaminations.
