It identifies the link between segregation and exclusion and reveals the characteristics of nonformal educational processes that contribute to educational inclusion. We carried out a qualitative analysis of various educational experiences in Latin American countries having alternatives to schooling and actions to develop students’ relevant skills. The results show that nonformal education opens up training possibilities, limited in school-based education by its tendency to reproduce social exclusion. Abstract
