Ability to perform daily activities, patient satisfaction and levels of functionality are essential for evaluating QoL in breast cancer survivors. Hot flashes on tamoxifen treatment have been reported to decrease general quality of life in women with breast cancer. Long-term, disease-free survivors of breast cancer have an excellent QOL, many years after their breast cancer diagnosis. According to the World Health Organization???s International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), function is defined as the interactions between an individual, their health condition and the social and personal context in which they live. Breast cancer patients experience physical symptoms and psychosocial distress that adversely affect their quality of life.
