Abstract

To both advance One Health and to prepare a professional workforce grounded in One Health, it is essential that the conceptual and practical underpinnings of One Health are integrated at all educational levels, especially at the high school and higher education levels because of the complexity of the concepts. This integration can be achieved through strategic curriculum planning and implementation and should include required and elective courses with a One Health focus and/or content. This article highlights two international examples of how One Health has been successfully integrated into high schools in Sweden and a Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate program at Virginia Tech in the United States.
