BARRIERS TO GROWTH OF SMES IN LAHORE AND THEIR EFFECTS ON SMES

Abstract

Since the birth of Pakistan, large scale industry remained in the focus for the economic development. Small and Medium sized industries were either totally overlooked or these got very little attention from the administration of Pakistan. With the growing participation of SMEs in the economic development of the other countries in the world, an institution with the name of SMEDA was set up in Pakistan in October 1998 to monitor the
