Abstract

The review focuses on the book Becoming T.S. Eliot: The Rhetoric of Voice and Audience in “Inventions of the March Hare”, 2021, written by Jayme Stayer, the American researcher of modernist poetry and T.S. Eliot’s work. Stayer uses rhetorical approach for studying poems from Eliot's notebook, refers to the concepts of ethos, logos and pathos, and analyzes the forms of existence of Eliot's lyrical voice, the development of his own poetic language, his interaction with real and imaginary audiences.
