Abstract
This paper aims to analyze, from the historical and dialectical materialism point of view, the actions of the Brazilian-American Commission of Industrial Education (CBAI, in the Brazililian acronym) in the period from 1946 to 1962, as a protagonist in the promotion of the hegemony of bourgeois. Data from the Bulletin of the CBAI allow to observe the enlargement of the State towards the private sector, speaking in terms of the interpenetration between those two spheres. The Brazilian bourgeoisie moved its organic intellectuals and engaged them in solidifing the liberal thesis, to ensure the reinforcement of the American way of life based on Gramci’s Americanism and Fordism. The so-called Escolanovismo in the industrial and technical education was the strategy that elite resort to in order to install and maintain the bourgeois liberal order. The principle of “differentiating unification” was spread in those schools in order to qualify workers fully comitted to those ideals and keep society organized in competing classes.
