ResumenLa imagen es un sistema visual que condiciona la percepción individual y social de una época. Una imagen no es una mera representación denotativa de la realidad que nos circunda, en ella convive una serie de códigos recogidos por la mirada del espectador para entenderla y asimilarla. En este sistema de representación se reúnen aspectos que crean un verdadero encuentro con la realidadasí comoaspectos que la alteran.En el siguiente artículo se presenta la noción de fantasmagoría como el fenómeno que altera la imagen y por lo tanto la mirada delespectador. Autores como Susan Burk- Morss o Walter Benjamin estructuran el texto y ayudan de manera esencial a dar claridad al enfoque ofrecido en torno a esta nociónAbstractThe image is a visual system that conditions the individual and social perception of an era. An image is not a mere denotative representation of the reality that surrounds us, in it lives a series of codes collected by the viewer's gaze to understand and assimilate it. In the following article the notion of phantasmagor is presented as the phenomenon that alters the image and therefore the view of the spectator.
