Phenomenon of the linguistic turn was the result of evolution in the field of the philosophy of language. For this reason, the paper includes the authorial interpretation of the language categories changes, emphasizing the process of its emanci-pation towards the other philosophical (epistemological) categories. The crowning of language evolution was the linguistic turn which – wit h series of subsequent “turns” – inscribed in the charac-teristics of so called “the new humanities” and its methodology. Abstract
The aim of the paper is to indicate chosen, basic consequences of the linguistic turn in educational studies in its theoretical and practical aspects.
