The proposal implies contextualizing these concepts, tracing a historical scenario from which educational practices that relate to autonomy and tutelage are delineated. The work includes the analysis of eleven scientific articles published in the Portal Periódicos Capes database between 2000 and 2019. Abstract

ABSTRACT The theme of autonomy has been present since the beginnings of education. In today’s society, student’s autonomy in school practices can determine the political and social participation of young people.
