Abstract

A tenable Valsequillo biostratigraphy realized by the University of Kiel, Germany, is avaible since 1973 which has not been assimilated by American prehistorians. Three heavy mineral zones are correlated with three faunal zones. Valsequillo bifacial-point culture level correlates with Faunal Zone I (ca. 10,000 yr B.P.) and unifacial-point level correlates with Faunal Zone II (ca. 22-30,000 yr B.P.). Faunal Zone III dates to pre-Wisconsinian time.
