Three „phases” are indicated: the traditional idea of truth as Heidegger sees it; truth as disclosure and unconcealedness; and concealedness as an essential trait of truth. The traditional conception of truth, according to Heidegger, is adequation which is understood as exactness of knowledge. This idea of truth is the result of rationalistic and subjectivistic thought. Truth is, therefore, the adequation of subjective knowledge with the essence of beings. A certain interpretation of the belief in creation has promoted this idea of truth because it was considered as an agreement of the created ratio with the ideas which God has realized in the spatio-temporal beings. This interpretation of truth as adequation is more or less derived from Plato's thought which made it possible to understand the truth as homoiosis through a substantiation of the eidos. Abstract

SUMMARY In this article we want to give an insight into the evolution of Heidegger's thought about truth.
