Two influential mycologists: Helen Gwynne-Vaughan (1879–1967) and Lilian Hawker (1908–1991)

Abstract

Helen Gwynne-Vaughan and Lilian Hawker were influential British mycologists active in the early and mid-20^th century respectively. Here their personalities, careers, research achievements and writings are assessed and compared.
