Optic nerve head melanocytoma with microtropia in the fellow eye

Abstract

A 56-year-old male presented with a deeply pigmented lesion overlying the optic nerve head in the left eye and decreased visual acuity in the right eye. He was diagnosed as having a melanocytoma of the optic nerve head O.S. and amblyopia/eccentric fixation due to microtropia O.D. Although these two entities are not related clinically, they both present interesting and challenging differential diagnoses and management strategies.
