Céphalée et signes fonctionnels en orthoptie

Abstract

Les céphalées et douleurs oculaires constituent une plainte fréquente. L’orthoptiste est confronté dans sa pratique quotidienne à ces symptômes. Il a besoin de connaître la signification des symptômes, leurs liens avec la présentation ophtalmique, et éventuellement le degré de l’urgence à suivre devant de telles situations. Nous proposons une démarche simple et didactique pour bien comprendre les symptômes, et aider l’orthoptiste à mieux prendre en charge ces patients, et à les orienter éventuellement vers le bon correspondant.

Headache and eye pain are a common complaint. The orthoptist is confronted in his daily practice with these symptoms. He needs to know the meaning of the symptoms, their links with the ophthalmic presentation, and possibly the degree of urgency to follow in such situations. We propose a simple and didactic approach to understand the symptoms and help the orthoptist to better take care of these patients, and to possibly direct them to the right correspondent.
