It was hypothesized that exposure to loud noise would impair taste perception, especially identifying and detecting?sweet taste, and that it would decrease liking for the taste of particularly sweet foods.</p><p>Neither overall taste detection nor sweet taste detection was affected by exposure to MRI acoustic noise.
