The Humanistic Bundle: A Process to Assess, Monitor, and Empower Team-Based Changes to Address Burnout in Healthcare

Abstract

To date, little progress has been made in reducing or even stabilizing physician burnout. Incorporating the Humanistic Bundle scale into onboarding and annual reviews facilitates collection of valuable people-oriented data that complements traditional productivity-oriented data to identify and eliminate behaviors that limit teams in achieving the National Academy of Medicine’s recommendations to improve physician well-being and engagement.
