Factors Influencing Entrepreneurial Behaviour of Group and Individual Farmers in Western Part of India

Abstract

Entrepreneurial actions influence a nation's economic growth and technological prowess. The level of socioeconomic development that civilization has reached is inversely proportional to its presence. Pune and Ahmednagar were the research sites in western Maharashtra. The survey had 240 respondents. This study compared individual and group farmer entrepreneurship behaviour. Most respondents (60.71 per cent) expressed medium levels of leadership skill, management orientation, and risk orientation. Group farmers' entrepreneurial behaviour differed from that of individual farmers. The attributes identified in the study would further boost entrepreneurial interest in individual farmers of the state in future.
