Abstract

ABSTRACT It is important to examine the workplace experiences and well-being of our social work colleagues in diverse national and cultural contexts. This study examines the relationship between work-family conflict and psychological well-being using cross-sectional data from 68 Salvadoran social workers. Based on hierarchical regression analysis results, work-family conflict (WFC) was inversely associated with psychological well-being which was attenuated by job satisfaction. The results suggest that the relationship between WFC and psychological well-being is stronger among those with low job satisfaction. The implications of the study findings to social work management practices are discussed.
