Abstract
Abstract: The Orkopata group and its Titikaka Bulletin had a broad system of networks that contributed to the “export” of their aesthetics to other places such as Bolivia and Argentina. In this work we investigate the potential of using the notion of “Andean avant-garde” beyond the Peruvian limit, in order to enrich literary studies located in other regions. Previously, we made a tour of the different categories that were rehearsed to reflect on the aesthetics of the Bulletin : “Avant-garde Indigenism” (VICH, 2000), “Andean Vanguardism” (MAMANI MACEDO, 2017), “Vanguardia del Titikaka” (MONASTERIOS PEREZ, 2015), “Avant-garde Indianism” (DE LLANO, 2015). The variation in the way of stating and defining the object of each of these notions will have an impact on the possibility of considering other aesthetic phenomena under these terms. Therefore, we propose the relevance of understanding the production of the poet Manuel J. Castilla, located in the northwest of Argentina, from the coordinates provided by the notion of “Andean avant-garde”. Keywords: Titikaka Bulletin; critical categories; Andean avant-garde.
