Abstract: Aiming at tracing a profile of the most recent research carried out in the field of Use-Based Linguistic Models, this paper brings together studies that relied on empirical data, mainly within the scope of two other, underscoring the relevance of the results found in Brazilian Portuguese, as well as pointing to an important and sustained growth in the field of research in discourse and grammar in the country.
