This research is a quantitative research that uses experimental research methods with the type of Quasi-Experimental to the kind of The Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The population of this study includes all students of class X Negeri in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The sample studied was 71 students from classes X BDP 1 and X BDP 2. In this study, the data collection technique used an instrument of mathematical understanding ability. Hypothesis testing using t-test and yields = 3.442, which results in H0 being rejected at a significant level of 0.005 with an Effect Size of 0.224, which is relatively low.
