Abstract

UTILIZATION OF TECHNOLOGY IN PROVIDING GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING SERVICES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. Before the pandemic, the guidance and counseling services are arranged directly on face-to-face meeting, however the pandemic situation such as now requires the counselors to utilize the advances of technology therefore the continuation of the guidance and counseling services is ensured. This article is a literature review of the mentioned topic. Information has become a great importance of attention in the guidance and counseling as professional counselors are demanded to be competent in displaying efficient and effective performance in providing services to students. So that the potential for convenience promised by this technology is worth considering as a mean to increase the productivity and quality of the services provided to the students. This effort is a form of cultivating technology-based professionalism in counselors in giving services to counselees during the pandemic.
