Abstract

This article presents the results of an investigation aimed at characterizing the set of public or government policy practices implemented by the Colombian Ministry of Education in order to organize public secondary education between 1936 and 1946. For a thorough understanding of the way in which configures the level of secondary education in Colombia, during the period studied, the way in which the practices of delimitation of functions of the modalities of training, the practices of inspection and surveillance of schools and the practices of organization of the offer of education are analyzed.
