In the interventions group, perineal massage was performed with Vaseline and without Vaseline from the active phase of labor. Control group no interventions were performed. Results: Perineal massage with vaseline in the intervention group significant decreased the rate of episiotomies (40%) compared to other group (p< 0.01). In the control group, the mean labor time was 10 hours 5 min, while in the perineal massage group with vaseline, this duration was determined to be 9 hours.
