The research method used was Mixed methods. The population in this research is a student of class X of SCIENCES SMA Negeri Wiradesa school year 2017/2018, by sampling selected two classes of purposif are class X MIPA 2 as a class of experiments using Treffinger learning model-based ethnomatematics and class X MIPA 1 a class of control using model learning PBL. While the research subjects were interviewed consisted of 6 students i.e 2 subjects from high confidence category, 2 subjects from moderate confidence category, and 2 subjects from low confidence category. The data were obtained using the test methods, the scale of confidence, interview and observation. Quantitative data analysis techniques include data analysis prerequisite test and analysis of research data. While the qualitative data analysis techniques include the reduction of data, data presentation, and make conclusions.
