Abstract

Since 2019, the world has experienced a global health problem, namely the emergence of Corona Virus disease (Covid-19). The impact of this pandemic is not only threatening physical health but also mental health. The government is currently focusing on restoring the economic, health, social and education sectors. Concern for physical health is much greater than for mental health. Currently, the mental condition of the community, especially health workers who play an active role in handling COVID-19 cases, must be a concern. So far, Islamic education has only focused on formal education in Islamic schools, madrasas, Islamic boarding schools and universities. Islam is a religion that teaches all aspects of life, including the attitude of being a Muslim when faced with trials or pressures in life. Therefore, Islamic psychoeducation is needed to improve the resilience of health workers, because in general health workers are Muslims. The purpose of this study was to measure the resilience of health workers and to analyze the effect of Islamic psychoeducation given to groups of health workers. The method used in this study is to use a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design through a pre-post test approach and compared with the control group. The results showed that the experimental group had a mean of 157.23 while the control group had a mean of 147.23. The experimental group had a mean greater than the control group. It can be concluded that the psychoeducation given gave a better effect on the experimental group at the 95% confidence level. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that Islamic psychoeducation given to health workers in Jambi City is considered effective in increasing the resilience of health workers in crisis situations.
